Olympic stadium Barcelona, april 5, 2009
We went to Barcelona fort the first time and on the sunday we were going to watch the game RCD Espanyol-Deportivo La Coruna. Espanyol was stuck in the bottom of the table struggling to avoid relegation. But from this day the season turned in a very positive direction. La Coruna was defeated by 3 goals to 1, Ivan de la Pena dominated the midfield and became a personal favourite. From this day something also happened to me. Though it was the first time i ever saw the team it felt like i´ve had been a supporter all my life and i was forever a "perico". At last Espanyol ended in a safe position in the middle of the table that season.

Since 2010 Espanyol is playing at the new stadium in Cornella el prat.
